With the COVID-19 pandemic in Bellingham making people think more about their health, Dr. Andrew Murry and his wife Sammy have returned to Bellingham to improve their lives.

The couple is launching Connect Family Chiropractic on July 6, 2020 at 902 N. State St., Suite 101.

“We want to help create a community where health burdens no longer prevent people from doing the things they love and achieving the dreams they’ve always had,” Andrew Murry said. “We are passionate about people, Bellingham, and wellness, and we envision our impact going far beyond our four walls.”

The couple’s roots are in Bellingham, where they graduated from Squalicum High School.

“Sammy and I started dating in high school and we have been dreaming of serving our hometown through a unique and different chiropractic office for as long as we can remember,” Andrew Murry said.

Murry earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology in 2014 from Western Washington University. He then attended Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating as valedictorian of his class and receiving the Clinical Excellence Award. After two years at a chiropractic practice in Shoreline, the couple decided to create Connect Family Chiropractic.

Murry specializes in Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP), which combines biology, physiology, physics, and anatomy to identify the causes of a patient’s pain, loss of mobility, and most importantly altered health. Advanced diagnostics are used to pinpoint the root cause of a patient’s spinal misalignment, he said.

“Once the source is identified, we will create a carefully planned spinal remodeling program consisting of a series of adjustments, exercises, and traction that will elevate your health and wellness,” Murry said.

Sammy Murry, the office manager and also a WWU graduate (bachelor’s degree in English literature in 2015), said they were taken aback by the coronavirus outbreak and resulting stay-at-home restrictions in the midst of their preparations to open Connect Family Chiropractic.

“However, because of incredible effort from local organizations like the Bellingham Regional Chamber of Commerce, Whatcom Young Professionals, and Women's Professional Network, we were able to still get deeply connected with many other locals through virtual events,” she said. “It really has been amazing to see the outpouring of support from people in our community."

“After initially being intimidated by opening our office during this time, we’ve come to the point where we see the blessing in it. So many people are looking for true connection and health and wellness at this time, and we’re so excited to offer this through our office.”
